About 825 Arts

Since 2009, our dedicated coalition of board members, volunteers, staff, representatives, small business owners, neighbors, and young artists have worked to realize this mission with the purchase and the renovation of the historic Victoria Theater at 825 University Ave into a community arts center for all of Frogtown and Rondo.

Programs

825 ArtZ: zAmya Theater Project Residency!

From April 28th to June 17th, zAmya Theater Project is in residence at 825 Arts! Every Monday and Thursday from 3-5 PM, come to 825 Arts for collaborative theater workshops with zAmya. Designed by and for individuals who have experienced homelessness, these sessions serve as a platform for artistic skill-building, fostering social connections, and encouraging creative expression. They will culminate in an informal “shareformance” at an Art-BQ on June 17th!

People who’ve experienced homelessness especially encouraged to attend! We have coffee, snacks, and bus tokens (while supplies last). Email Esther, Company Manager, with questions and accessibility needs: esther@zamyatheater.org, 612-760-4804
