ARTIST MEMBERSHIP

What do you create?

Meets the Fourth Tuesday of every month!

Our Artist Membership Program supports local artists through providing a creative workspace in the neighborhood.

Benefits Include

  • Priority updates on opportunities and events at 825
  • “First in line” for opportunities at 825
  • Use of 825 Arts common space during public hours
  • A network of other local artists
  • Access to monthly artist membership meetings. At these, artists will:
    • Enjoy food
    • Connect with each other
    • Learn about upcoming 825 programming
    • Have opportunities for learning

In order to get involved, the membership program requires:

  • 12 hours of volunteering every year
    • This can be tabling at an event, helping with an art project, or any other volunteering help we may need.
  • It is also our goal that 25% of our members come from Ward 1

Testimonials

Working with 825 Arts was an artists’ dream! Staff were open to ideas for the show, helpful in refining it, and then generous with both the space and providing a stipend to help make it happen. I had only curated/ led two other shows, and this was hands down the best experience. […] This show and working with 825 Arts was the highlight of my artistic career! Yay 825 Arts!Joel Haskard, Cardboardo Art

Through my artist membership with 825 Arts, I was able to develop my people with people with disabilities in improv project with genuine care and support. This work is often rushed or sidelined, but at 825 Arts it was treated as essential. I was trusted to move at the pace the community needed and to center access, dignity, and joy without compromise. That partnership made the project meaningful, sustainable, and affirming for the performers with disabilities – John Gebretatose, Founder, Good Camel Comedy Theater

I have been working with 825 Arts for over a year and in all of my interactions they put community and art first. They are open to collaboration in all its forms, they provide resources an aspiring artist can only dream of, and through their space, create valuable connections between artists. For any artist looking to get outside themselves and feel a part of something bigger than themselves, 825 Arts is firm foundation to build dreams on. – Matt Harren
