About 825 Arts

Since 2009, our dedicated coalition of board members, volunteers, staff, representatives, small business owners, neighbors, and young artists have worked to realize this mission with the purchase and the renovation of the historic Victoria Theater at 825 University Ave into a community arts center for all of Frogtown and Rondo.

Programs

Aerial Art Classes

The aerial branch of Sandbox – The Swingset – is again taking flight, this time at 825 Arts! Thanks to the generosity of the Minnesota Regional Arts Council, we are able to offer these FREE beginner aerial trainings. This training is for anyone! We love to use aerial arts to explore story and to feel playfully powerful. Come play and surprise yourself.

You’ll be guided with one-on-one instruction by resident aerialist Evie Digirolamo who has trained and choreographed performers in the aerial theater productions: Little Pilot, Houdini, Bone Mother, The Matrix (for the 5/5 Fringe Fundraiser), Snow Queen, and Charlotte’s Web. Evie believes you are the expert of you and loves to find adaptations for each person that feel exciting and empowering, and she insists that you’ll be surprised by what you can do.
Dates through May 5th are currently open for folks to reserve a spot in advance. Class size will be kept small because we will only be working with one person at a time on one aerial silk. Each class will keep 5 spots available for walk-ups.

Young folks welcome as well, but will need to be accompanied by a guardian who can sign a waiver for them to participate.

Minecraft at 825 Arts

This by-kids-for-kids digital artspace is open every Saturday from 2-4pm! With freebuild, pvp, and guided activity space, plus seasonal competitions and SO MUCH MORE, you can build your dreams! Learn more on our Minecraft page.

Access Survey!

Do you wish 825 Arts was more accessible? This year, we’re doing access work, and we want you involved! We’ve got a short survey that will run all summer, and be used to develop new access guidelines at 825 Arts. You can fill it out at https://tinyurl.com/Access825Survey

After School Programs at 825 Arts!

What are you doing after school? We’re going to 825 Arts! Starting January 12th, we’ve got a whole suite of after school specials. get your game on at Minecraft club from 4-5:30pm on Mondays, take to the stage with Theater Tuesdays from 4:15-5:30, and build to your heart’s content with LEGO on Fun Fridays! Art-B-Q’s: Now Year Round!

No longer must you wait for summer, Art-B-Q’s are year round! From 6-8pm on the third Tuesday of every month, come to 825 Arts for free food, fun art, and community connection! The next Art-B-Q is November 18th.

Frogtown Arts Festival 2026

This annual outdoor festival is taking over the block to celebrate the talents and cultures of Saint Paul’s Frogtown and Rondo neighborhood. Over 500 community members attend this event, which will be on September 19th 2026. Featuring arts from around the world, food trucks, and civic engagement opportunities, this event is free to attend for all of our community! Presented in collaboration with the Frogtown Neighborhood Association.

Parking: Lot parking is available at Ryan Plumbing on the corner of Avon and University. Street parking is available on the surrounding blocks. Parking is available on University Avenue after 6PM. Accessible parking drop off is available at our neighbor, Demera.
